Course structure

In this part we will present the general structure of a standard course and teach you how to adapt it to your needs as a teacher.

Teachers typically divide the educational resources that they post to the platform into parts, chapters, etc. On platforms, we call them sections. Importantly, the word ‘lesson’ is not used here because it is reserved for one of the tools. 1)

1) the tool called ‘Lesson’ will be described elsewhere

Resources on the platform can be placed into any number of sections. You can increase or decrease the number of sections in your courses according to your own needs. At the top, however, there is always a Main Section (which by default is untitled). We can treat it as an introduction to resources, but it has some special properties. There is more about this in the section: Introduction to the course.
